Biography
Originally from Avignon, Abys2fly began drawing and painting in 1996 through graffiti and hip-hop influences. After a graphic arts diploma in 2004, he worked in Saint-Étienne for retail and event advertising, dividing his time between visual communication, illustration and painting.
He moved to Lyon in 2008, balancing agency work with artistic research, then went freelance and trained at the Émile Cohl school. A graphic designer and illustrator, he art-directs his own projects with concepts that blend reality and fantasy.
His work explores nature and technology, with animals and relics of the future breaking apart and merging, rendered in light and shadow effects that create volume. His small colourful birds, the "piouspious", have become his visual signature.
