Biography
Tima, whose real name is Fatima Ezzahra Khilad, is a visual artist and muralist from Khouribga, Morocco. A graduate of the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Casablanca, she has been working in urban art since 2020.
Her practice explores memory and how fragments of the past persist in the present, drawing on childhood memories tied to her grandparents. Her compositions often feature women with closed, enigmatic faces, lost in thought. She combines saturated colours and loose brushwork with patterns drawn from Moroccan heritage, such as the Safi vase that recurs in several of her works.
The artist has taken part in festivals and residencies in Morocco, the United States and Canada, with walls in Rabat, Chicago, Montreal, Vienna and London. In 2025 she painted "Her size, her world" in Valence for the Walls & Love festival.
