Biography
Soda is the artist name of Alan De Cecco, an Italian artist based in London who has been writing the name since 1993. Rooted in graffiti, he works across several media: murals, painting on canvas, graphic design and sound.
He is known for abstract graffiti in black, white and grey. The letters S-O-D-A are fragmented, stretched and layered until they dissolve into geometric planes, while precise shading creates the illusion of a third dimension and makes walls seem to open onto architectural space.
Influenced by music, architecture and abstraction, the artist builds minimalist compositions with highly controlled spray work. In 2025 he painted "Subtraction" on the Zammit gymnasium in Valence for the Walls & Love festival.
