Biography
Zësar Bahamonte is a designer, illustrator and muralist born in 1986 in Dos Hermanas, near Seville. Drawing has been part of his daily life since childhood. At 19 he moved to Seville, studied at the city's School of Art and became involved in its DIY cultural scene.
After a year in Barcelona, where he returned to street painting, he settled in Montevideo, Uruguay. There he became a professional muralist, shaped by the great Latin American mural movements, took part in festivals, exhibited in galleries and painted live alongside musicians.
His style is recognisable by clean lines, dense colours and figures, often women, shown in active roles. His walls can be seen from Montevideo to Paris, via Mexico City, Lisbon and Jerusalem. In 2024 he painted "Soléa" in Valence for the Walls & Love festival.
