Biography
Heng is a painter and street artist born in 1978 and based in Marseille. He started painting in the late 1990s, drawn to graffiti, and made his debut on the walls of Avignon, then Aix-en-Provence and Marseille. After several years of commissions with his crew, he moved to Berlin in 2014 to focus on canvas and studio work.
His graphic language borrows the codes and patterns of architecture. His colourful abstract compositions take the urban landscape apart: the artist breaks straight lines, crumples matter and opens dizzying, futuristic perspectives. The sea, its industrial surroundings and the soft shapes of clouds also feed his work.
A founding member of the Lartmada collective, he painted "Crossing Lines" on the Rochecolombe residence in Valence during the 2023 Walls & Love festival.
