Biography
Megan Oldhues is a Canadian mural painter born in 1997 and based in Toronto. She discovered graffiti and street art in high school, taught herself to spray paint under the city's bridges, and began painting at large scale in 2015.
Scenic painting work for film and television sharpened her technique. She builds large figurative compositions that sit between realism and impressionism, based on her own reference photography and painted with a limited palette of primary colours that she mixes by hand.
Her subjects are simple, gentle moments of everyday life. The founder of a mural production company, the artist has painted in more than seven countries, including France, where she created two walls in Valence for the Walls & Love festival in 2023.
