Cité création

CitéCréation is a world-renowned French artist cooperative founded in 1978 by a group of passionate art students in the Lyon region who wanted to break away from traditional elitist gallery spaces. Operating with a mission to "give art back to ordinary people," the collective specializes in designing and producing massive, monumental public murals and intricate trompe-l’œil frescoes that seamlessly integrate into the local urban architecture.

Over the last four decades, the group has completed more than 1,000 global projects, transforming dull public housing complexes, utility structures, and city center blind walls into vibrant cultural landmarks. While their home territory of Lyon acts as a massive open-air museum featuring over a hundred of their works, the cooperative has expanded its operations internationally with permanent subsidiaries and offices across cities like Berlin, Montreal, Jerusalem, and Shanghai.
