Biography
Nexgraff is the working name of Nextor Otaño, born in 2003 in Pasaia, Gipuzkoa, who runs the project with his father Aitor Otaño. He started writing graffiti at around 13, moved into large-scale murals from 2016 and has since completed a Fine Arts degree. His realistic, portrait-led compositions have shifted from hip-hop imagery towards a looser, painterly handling. He keeps spray paint for detail work and uses acrylic on big walls. He won Spain's Liga Nacional de Graffiti in 2020 and has finished in its top five every year since. His "Allegory of Music" (2022) made Street Art Cities' world top ten. In Bayonne he painted the facade of the Zizpa Gaztetxea youth centre for Points de Vue, and that wall competed in Street Art Cities' 2023 best murals poll. Other walls include pieces in Ibarra, Getaria and Cergy.
