Muraleslian

Born in the United States and raised in Catalonia, Lian now lives in Bilbao and paints under the name Murales Lian. Her figurative, site-specific murals put working women, craftspeople and marginalised communities at the centre of the wall. Her 2022 piece "The Hands of Many" in Ondarroa honours the women who mended fishing nets. Street Art Cities users voted it the third best mural in the world that year. Her other walls include a 2021 mural next to Galdakao town hall on unity and mutual care, and several pieces in the Vallecas district of Madrid. For the 2025 edition of Points de Vue she spent two weeks in residence in Ciboure. There she drew on local testimony and archives about floods and the town's former sardine canneries for her mural on the Trinquet Ttiki.
