Mural Studio

Grenoble-based Mural Studio was set up in 2019 by Étien' and Snek as a group specialising in large-scale murals and anamorphic painting. Étien' (Étienne Bergeret) is self-taught: he has done graffiti since 1997, trained as a sign painter, went independent in 2005 and likes to paint realistic plants, animals and insects. Snek (Marc-Alexandre Pisicchio) used to be a woodworker and is known for realistic portraits and calligraphy. Their anamorphic pieces follow the shape of the building and only come together from one viewpoint. For Points de Vue in Bayonne they painted "Le Combattant" in 2019 on the block next to Malégarie school, then returned in 2021 to the same refurbished facade for "Eskolarako bidaen" (Basque for "On the way to school"): a tree frog carrying its young to school, about 130 m² in acrylic and spray paint. They have also worked in Paris, Lyon, Copenhagen, Dubai, Athens, Berlin and Zagreb.
