Landroïd

Born in Sarlat in 1988, Landry Muñoz, who works as Landroïd, discovered graffiti at 13 after moving to Bordeaux and later worked in graphic design, set design and web design. He works across graffiti, design, three-dimensional pieces and interactive scale models, and he also reworks street furniture, sometimes with electronics built in. He plays with codes passers-by already know, drawing on American pop culture from the 1980s and 1990s and on an interest in fractals and the mechanics of the universe. During the second Points de Vue festival in October 2018 he painted a trompe-l'œil on a utility cabinet at 16 quai de Lesseps in Bayonne, with a door that looks real enough to push. He has also run workshops at the CAPC museum in Bordeaux.
