Biography
A French visual artist, Damien Auriault started out in graffiti, and years of painting on building sites, derelict land and crumbling walls left him adaptable and technically skilled. He went on to combine pop art, op art, Art Deco and design into repeated forms and saturated colour, aiming to draw viewers into a contemplative space, and his painting tends to underline architecture by setting the building in dialogue with his shapes. For the fourth Points de Vue festival in 2020 he painted Tapis de sol on allée Paulmy in Bayonne. He showed Peinture Témoin at Station V in Bayonne in 2021, and for the 2023 edition painted the mural 24Cube at the Didier Deschamps stadium together with LX One.
