Biography
Shupaone is the working name of Caroline Vong, a self-taught visual artist based in Paris. She started writing graffiti in 2006, spent 2010 to 2020 travelling the world, and then came back to painting in the street. Her murals combine the drive of wild style with a narrative strand drawn from Art Nouveau, featuring women's faces, flowers and birds, and explore how people relate to nature and the sea. She took part in "Rêver son horizon", a 420-metre mural at the Pont de Flandre business park in Paris's 19th arrondissement, and founded Studio VONG to extend her practice into sculpture, stained glass and light installations. In July 2026 she painted live at the Plein Champ urban art festival in the Gué-de-Maulny park, Le Mans.
