Remy Uno

Born in 1978, Remy Uno started writing graffiti in Marseille in the late 1990s, painting letters before moving on to the human figure. In 2002 he co-founded the Lartmada collective, which took him to paint and exhibit in São Paulo, New York, Caracas, Moscow, London and Johannesburg. After a spell in Berlin working on a more personal language, he returned to Marseille, where he divides his time between the studio and the wall. His portraits and bodies, often caught in quiet, intimate gestures, are cut up, doubled and reassembled so that one scene can be read several ways. In July 2026 he painted live at the Plein Champ urban art festival in the Gué-de-Maulny park, Le Mans.
