Biography

Oji, whose real name is Jonas Biancolli, is a painter born in France in 1989 who works mostly in Paris and the surrounding region. He learned to draw in abandoned lots from 2014, at the same time as he picked up spray paint, and has since moved towards brushes and rollers. His long-profiled figures, painted in a palette chosen for each site, carry a dose of humour and several layers of meaning, pitched to delight children and make adults think. He has painted in Paris, Montreuil, Pantin, Saint-Denis, Aix-en-Provence and Brooklyn, and taken part in festivals such as FestiWall along the Ourcq canal and Street Art City in Lurcy-Lévis. In July 2026 he painted at Plein Champ, the urban art festival in the Parc du Gué-de-Maulny in Le Mans.
