Biography
Fabian Florin, known as Bane, is a Swiss muralist born in 1982 in Chur, in the canton of Graubünden, where he still lives and works. He is best known for photorealistic trompe-l'oeil murals whose figures seem to step out of the wall, such as the fisherman "Der Plessurfischer" painted in Chur in 2021. With Pest he forms the duo Bane&Pest, who in 2018 painted the Mühleturm in Chur, at the time the largest mural in Switzerland. In 2020 he teamed up with Chromeo on the floral panel of the huge Change of Colours mural at the Bell site in Basel. As founder and president of the Graubünden association for urban culture, he runs the Street Art Festival Chur, and his walls can be found from the eastern Mediterranean to Asia.
