Biography

Ellen Rutt is a Detroit-based American visual artist whose work blends pop art and kinetic art through mixed graphic techniques. She first made her name in the underground scene with digital collages reworked by hand, then painted murals in New York built on abstract elements drawn from Keith Haring and Helen Frankenthaler. Her work explores where digital and physical reality meet. In 2017 she designed the visual identity of the Les Escales festival and painted "Serendipity" in Saint-Nazaire.
