Biography

Felice Varini is a Swiss artist born in Locarno in 1952 who has lived in Paris since 1978. He paints simple geometric shapes, circles, squares and triangles, straight onto architecture as anamorphoses: the figure only comes together from one single viewpoint and breaks apart as soon as you step away. His best-known works include "Suite de triangles" across the port of Saint-Nazaire (2007), "À ciel ouvert" on Le Corbusier's Cité radieuse in Marseille (2016) and "Concentrique, excentrique" on the ramparts of Carcassonne (2018).
