Skander Tej

Skander Tej is a Tunisian visual artist, graphic designer and street artist born in 1981 and based in Monastir. His murals and land art pieces, found on schools and hospitals or out in the landscape on Djerba and the Kerkennah Islands, deal with social and ecological themes. He combines traditional craftsmanship with modern tools, most visibly in the "24 Villages, 24 Governorates" project. In 2025 he painted for the International Festival of Plastic Arts of the Djerid in Tozeur.
