Repy One

Repy One has been painting in the street since the early 2000s and is based in Vichy, in central France. Over the years his practice has narrowed to portraiture, where he works above all on the gaze and on the way light falls across a face. Spray paint is his tool of choice, layered and blended to model skin and fabric, though he picks up a brush whenever the surface calls for it. He founded Le Soute, an association that stages exhibitions in Vichy, and works regularly with the Clermont-Ferrand collective END to END, with whom he has painted several murals around the city.
