Biography
PZE is a street artist working out of The Hague, signing each piece with three painted letters. The recurring motif is the stork, the city's emblem, rendered on small portable formats: stretched canvases, tiles and boards hung straight onto facades rather than painted on the wall. Because the pieces come off as easily as they go up, passers-by and collectors strip them within days, making every installation deliberately short-lived. Documented on the streets of The Hague since the early 2010s, PZE has put up some two hundred storks there and collaborated with Nils Westergård in the Schilderswijk district. The birds travel well beyond the Netherlands, turning up in Paris and as far north as Helsinki.
