Biography
Brain Paint Circle is a German duo formed around ten years ago by two painters who sign as Cany the Kizard and Rogge das Fell. Comics and fantasy stories have fed them since childhood, and that is exactly what they paint today, at the scale of a building façade.
Their formula rests on a tension: brilliant, almost fairground colour in the service of distinctly darker figures. The monsters children imagine behind the wardrobe door finally get a face here, drawn with a cartoonist's precision and a sense of framing inherited from the printed page.
The duo is active in the Berlin scene and looks after several surfaces around the painting space opened by the 21er Gallery, in the Moabit district, where they regularly take part in graffiti gatherings. Their murals can also be found elsewhere in Germany, notably in Lower Saxony.
