Biography

Born in Montpellier in 1986, where he still lives and works, this illustrator and art director graduated from the Émile Cohl school in Lyon in 2010. He has been drawing for the French daily Le Monde since 2011, and has also worked for the Washington Post and L'Express.

He describes his work as pop-surrealism: the clear line inherited from twentieth-century Franco-Belgian comics applied to enigmatic scenes in which bodies dissolve into clouds, birds or floating objects. A jazz saxophonist since childhood, he also draws posters for festivals in the Hérault region, among them the Worldwide Festival in Sète and the International Guitar Festival.

Mural painting extends that practice. In 2011 the artist designed the music-themed wall of the right-bank mural trail in Brest, painted with the muralists of Cité Création, before producing a bull in a tracksuit for the Expo de Ouf! festival in Nîmes in 2019 and Gaïa for the second edition of the Muralis festival in Dax in 2020.
