2CarryOn

2CarryOn is the alias of Marco Almeida, a Portuguese illustrator and muralist based in Lisbon who has been painting walls since 1997. Trained as a graphic designer, he blends hand-drawn lettering, illustration and graffiti into a surreal world where human and animal figures merge. His ongoing "Homo Corvus" series features crow-headed characters used as a vehicle for critical reflection on contemporary society. He has painted for the MURO-LX festival in Lisbon's Bairro Padre Cruz, for Rock in Rio Lisboa in 2022 and for the Stone Art Festival, and shows his studio work regularly, including the solo exhibition "Cigarettes After Spray" in 2021.
