Biography
Psoman is a Belgian muralist born in Brussels in 1981 and based in the Liège area. A graphic design graduate in 2001, he works in an instantly recognisable cell-shading style that sits between destructured shapes and minimal linework. His walls are populated by hybrid creatures in motion, most often fantastical animals carrying entire cities on their backs, a metaphor for the weight of urban sprawl on the natural world. A committed traveller, he has painted across Europe and Asia, taking part in the Kosmopolite Art Tour and Le M.U.R. Brussels, as well as Cape Town's International Public Art Festival in 2022. The same experimental, poetic universe carries over into his work on canvas and paper.
