Lula Goce

Lula Goce is a Spanish muralist born in 1976 in Baiona, Galicia. She graduated in fine arts in Salamanca, then completed a PhD in artistic creation at the University of Barcelona, where she got involved in the graffiti scene of the Poblenou district. Her murals pair tightly controlled photorealism with a dreamlike mood: oversized female portraits entangled with foliage, animals and floral ornament. Since the early 2000s she has painted at festivals worldwide, from Waterford Walls in Ireland to North West Walls in Belgium, Nasimi in Azerbaijan and Zona Maco in Mexico, and has shown work at the CCCB in Barcelona, Matadero in Madrid and MARCO in Monterrey. In 2021 she painted "Ecosystem Restoration" in Brussels, the first of a worldwide mural series backed by the United Nations and Street Art for Mankind.
