Gizem Erdem

Gizem Erdem is an illustrator and artist born in Ankara and based in Cologne. Her language is that of drawing: characters with heavy black outlines, saturated flats, plants and everyday objects reduced to simple, cheerful shapes. She has produced record and book covers, posters and editorial illustrations for clients such as Netflix, Wacom and The Guardian, then carried the same line onto entire facades. Her walls include "Flower Shop" in Mannheim for Stadt.Wand.Kunst in 2022 and a piece for the 40 Grad Urban Art Festival in Düsseldorf.
