Smash137

Smash137 is the writer name of Adrian Falkner, born in Basel in 1979, where he has been painting since 1990. Trained as a graphic designer, he became a leading figure of European graffiti with lettering that gradually dissolves into abstraction: long curves drawn in a single gesture, pastel fields and black outlines, closer to calligraphy than to classic wildstyle. A member of the Montana Writers Team, he carried that research into the studio and the gallery, up to an MA in fine art completed in Basel in 2017. His blackbooks are a reference point in the graffiti scene.
