Fragments

Fragments is a self-taught artist based in Montpellier, France, who splits his practice between murals, urban art and canvas work. His imagery sets the legacy of ancient civilisations, classical statuary and myth against the raw energy of the street, in a palette led by deep blues. The key is his recurring motif, a symbol of the mind, of knowledge and of emotions. He paints facades and shop shutters, such as the one of the Roger Lignon jewellery shop in Montpellier, as well as animal figures, hands and eyes on canvas. He staged the exhibition "Jardin Secret" at the Montpellier tourist office and hid a hundred keys across the city for passers-by to find.
