Biography
The Kuhl Kid has been putting up the same cow since 2007. Drawn in thick comic-style outline — a white body blotched with black, a big brown muzzle, small horns, a puzzled stare — it has become an instantly recognisable signature, placed on electrical cabinets, gable walls and hoardings across Cologne and scattered through several European cities on the artist's travels. The character never changes, only its support does, and it is precisely that stubborn repetition that makes the work. Alongside the street practice, The Kuhl Kid produces linocut prints in the studio.
