Huami

Huami is a Cologne artist based in the Ehrenfeld district, where she belongs to the local generation that grew up alongside the rise of the CityLeaks festival. Her work centres on the face and the large-scale portrait, often handled in flat colour and decorative patterning. On the Ehrenfeld railway embankment she painted, with Layla Xing, a long wall combining Indian-inspired figures and ornament, made largely in 2013 and then added to and reworked over the following years.
