L.E.T.

L.E.T., short for Les Enfants Terribles, is a French-born artist based in Düsseldorf. Active on the street since 1992, he belongs to the first generation of European street artists. Stencils are his medium: he sprays his motifs onto paper, cuts them out, then pastes them around the city. His images play with consumer and entertainment culture in a deliberately wry register. For exhibitions he carries the same vocabulary onto canvas, cardboard and wood; he is represented by the Pretty Portal gallery in Düsseldorf.
