ASR

ASR is a graffiti name from Madrid. The handle @ASR_GRAFITIART is painted straight onto one of the walls on pasaje Montserrat, in the south of the city, next to the 'ASR' signature. The subjects are almost always animals: a monkey in broad multicoloured strokes, a blue and violet cat with a green eye, a grey elephant and rhinoceros on an azure ground beneath the lettering 'Free World'. The work alternates between realistic greyscale rendering and heavily saturated flat colour, sometimes with a pun painted alongside, such as the 'Hazme una foto, que salga mono, porfi' next to the monkey.
