Guri

Gurí is an Argentine urban artist born in 1991 in Gualeguaychú, in the province of Entre Ríos; his working name comes from the local word for a kid. He took up graffiti and murals in 2010 and sharpened his practice while studying Fine Arts at the National University of La Plata, where he began researching the graphic language of ancestral Latin American cultures. His walls combine spray-painted portraits, totemic figures and magical storytelling, driven by a lasting interest in nature, spirituality and the memory of indigenous peoples. Notable pieces include "Hijo del viento" in El Calafate (2022), a tribute to the Aonikenk people, and "BEHIQUE" in Azua de Compostela, Dominican Republic (2020). He has painted in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, the Caribbean, the United States and Spain.
