Elle Koziupa

Elle Koziupa is a British muralist from Chesterfield who has been painting walls since the early 2020s. She trained on the job as an apprentice at Global Street Art in London and has put up close to two hundred murals in two years, from Sheffield to Newquay. Her work leans on a Renaissance-inspired aesthetic: chiaroscuro portraits with heavy tonal modelling, usually in greyscale and lifted by flat blocks of bright colour. Among her best-known pieces are "Joan of Arc" in Sheffield and "Prepare to be Illuminated", a fisherman mending his nets by candlelight. She also hand-paints commercial murals for brands such as Nike Jordan, Google and Burberry.
