Biography
Ultramega is the working name of Benedict Siddle, a London-based illustrator, muralist, sign painter and designer. The project started as a T-shirt label built to put his illustrations on something people could wear, borrowing its name from hip-hop group Ultramagnetic MCs and Japanese icons Ultraman and Mega Man. His work leans on pop culture, humour and a surreal, psychedelic streak, always in a bright and playful palette. He moves between spray paint, hand painting, stencils and screen printing, with a particular soft spot for food and music projects. Commissions include murals for Netflix, Alexander McQueen, Boiler Room and Street Feast, alongside hand-painted shop shutters around London.
