Nathalie Carenco

Nathalie Carenco is a French decorative painter who co-signs the frescoes and trompe-l'oeil of the Mas des Anges studio, in the heart of the Alpilles, with Denis Carenco. The pair paint lime-and-sand frescoes inspired by Pompeian painting as well as Italian Renaissance trompe-l'oeil, on every kind of indoor and outdoor surface, and also produce paintings, bas-reliefs and decorative objects. Her most visible work remains the Tourette fresco in Marseille: 220 m² painted in 1994 on the gable of a building facing the Major cathedral, after a Giambattista Tiepolo ceiling devoted to the conquest of the Americas.
