Mr. Woodland

Mr. Woodland, real name Daniel Westermeier, is a German artist born in Dachau in 1981. He has painted in public space since 1993 and lives in Erding, near Munich. After graduating in graphic design in Munich in 2013 he became a full-time artist, and also runs the creative studio Toxic Playground. His work pairs highly realistic painted figures with graphic fragments and surreal compositions, worked with spray cans, brushes and rollers. His large-scale murals, built on muted palettes lifted by bright accents, can be found in Germany and across Europe.
