Laec

LAEC is the artist name of Laetitia Cefali, a French painter and muralist born in 1990 and raised in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. Self-taught, she worked her way through pencil, Indian ink, watercolour and oil before settling on spray paint and, more recently, the airbrush, which lets her bring her wall work onto canvas. Her practice revolves almost entirely around portraits of women, painted in a soft realism built from gradients and drips, and driven by themes of feminine energy, sisterhood and spirituality. A member of the CNN199 crew, she has painted walls in Chamonix, in Morlaix for the Morlaix Art Tour, in Paris and in Brussels, where she took part in the collective mural of the La Belle Hip Hop festival.
