Guillaume Desmarets

Guillaume Desmarets is a Belgian painter and muralist. His work is marked by sharply cut fields of flat colour and a tight palette, reducing figurative scenes to a play of silhouettes and planes. In May 2019 he painted Hunters in the Snow on rue de la Rasière in the Marolles district of Brussels, a reworking of Bruegel's painting made for the Bruegel Trail on the 450th anniversary of the painter's death.
