Biography
Piotr Szlachta is a painter and a member of the Brussels collective Farm Prod. Against the graphic flat colour that defines the collective's signature, he works in dense, atmospheric landscape painting rooted in the Flemish tradition: rocky reliefs, clouded skies and vegetation rendered leaf by leaf. In May 2019 he painted Landscape with the Flight into Egypt on rue des Capucins in the Marolles, a reworking of Bruegel made for the 450th anniversary of the painter's death as part of the Bruegel Trail.
