Biography
Jana Danilović is a Serbian artist born in Belgrade, an illustrator and muralist. Her work pairs a naturalistic treatment of animals, birds and insects above all, with backgrounds of flat colour and organic shapes that pull the composition towards the decorative. Themes of freedom, solidarity and emancipation run throughout. In November 2020 she painted the mural Up! in Brussels for the Balkan Trafik festival and the City's Street Art Trail: a flight of swallows, migratory birds taken as symbols of freedom, on a gable on rue Vanderhaegen.
