Samuel Idmtal

Samuel Idmtal is a Brussels artist who came out of graffiti and co-founded the Urbana collective, specialising in monumental murals and participatory projects. He often works as a duo with Orlando Kintero, combining realistic spray-painted portraits with decorative compositions. Their approach frequently starts by photographing the residents of a neighbourhood, who are then painted at large scale on their own walls. That is the principle behind the square Pieremans mural in the Marolles, made in 2015 with local residents.
