Biography
Fotini Tikkou is a Greek illustrator based in Brussels, trained in applied arts and active in publishing, the press and mural painting. Her work is recognisable by its frontal, pastel-coloured portraits ringed with handwritten text that gives her sitters a voice. In Brussels she co-signed, with Ralf König, the LGBTQI mural on rue de la Chaufferette, unveiled in May 2015: across forty metres, a run of life-size portraits in which each person recounts, in a speech bubble, their relationship to their own identity.
