Biography
Ralf König (Soest, Germany, 1960) is a German comics author, one of the most widely read openly gay cartoonists in the world. Trained as a carpenter before art school, he broke through in 1987 with Der bewegte Mann, bringing a tender and blunt humour to gay life through big-nosed characters, among them the couple Konrad and Paul. His work is translated into more than fifteen languages. In Brussels he designed, with Fotini Tikkou, the LGBTQI mural unveiled on 1 May 2015 for the twentieth anniversary of Brussels Pride.
