Biography
Stéphane Colman (Brussels, 1961) is a Belgian comics author. With writer Stephen Desberg he created Billy the Cat in 1981, the story of a boy turned into a cat after an accident who discovers the city at gutter height. Published in Spirou, the series won the pair a wide audience and several animated adaptations. Colman also drew Les Petites Filles modèles and Alvin Norge. The mural on rue d'Ophem, painted in 2000, shows two cats leaping above Brussels cobblestones.
