Biography
Frank Pé, real name Frank Pévenasse (Brussels, 1956), is a Belgian cartoonist who joined Spirou magazine very young. In 1978 he created Broussaille, the gentle chronicle of a nature-loving Brussels teenager, whose sensitive drawing and animal realism stood apart from the output of the time. He later produced Zoo and an acclaimed reinterpretation of the Marsupilami, The Beast. His mural on rue du Marché au Charbon, unveiled in 1991, is the very first of the Brussels Comic Book Route.
