Biography
Yoann, real name Yoann Chivard (Vendée, France, 1971), is a French cartoonist who broke through with Toto l'ornithorynque. With writer Fabien Vehlmann he took over the flagship series Spirou et Fantasio in 2010, drawing five albums with a nervous line and a modern reading of Franquin's legacy. The pair also produced Les Seuls and Green Manor. In Brussels their monumental mural gathers the whole cast of the series in a crowd, with Spirou in his red bellhop suit running in the foreground.
