Patrícia Mariano

Born in 1988, Patrícia Mariano is a Portuguese painter and muralist based in Lisbon. Self-taught, with a background in architecture and journalism and a long career as an advertising copywriter, she turned to painting full time at thirty. Her figurative compositions sit somewhere between reality and dreams, carrying melancholic, metaphorical imagery in which symbolism has become her artistic identity. She shows in galleries as much as she paints in public space, including "Calipso", made for the Galeria de Arte Urbana at Lisbon's MURO festival in 2025.
