Rocky Castilho

Rocky Castilho wrote his name in red, in full, inside one of his own shapes: that is about all we know of him. On a long yellow wall in the Marvila district of Lisbon he painted a frieze of organic forms in flat bright colours, striped ovals, legged creatures and small round-eyed faces, with no ground and no perspective, in a register that fully embraces children's drawing.
